Pulp (American English) or fibre (Commonwealth English) is a class of hair-capillary materials that come continuous filaments or even are within distinct longer pieces, similar to pieces of thread. It may be spun into filaments, thread, or even rope. It may be utilized as a component of composite materials. It can too exist as matted into sheets to produce products like paper or felt. Fibers come of Ii types: Natural fibre & Manmade fiber or Synthetic fiber.

Natural fibre include people manufactured away from plants, animate being & mineral sources. Natural fibre may be classified based on data from their origin.

Vegetable fibers generally comprise cellulose: examples include cotton, linen, jute, flax, ramie, sisal and hemp. Cellulose fibers help in the manufacture of paper and cloth. This pulp may be futher categorized into a charted:

Seed fiber: a pulp is collected from either the seed. e.g. Cotton and Kapok. Leaf fiber: a pulp is collected from either the leaf. e.g. Sisal and Agave. Bast fiber or even Skin pulp: A fiber is collected from either a skin or bast surrounding a stem of the plant. These fibers keep close at hand higher tensile nature and severity than more fibers. So, these fibers come utilized for durable yarn & fabric for packaging & paper. Examples come: Jute, Kenaf, Industrial Hemp, Ramie, Rattan, Soyabean fiber, and possibly Vine fibers and Banana fibers. Fruit fiber: a pulp is collected from either the fruit of the plant. e.g. Coconut (Coir) pulp. Stalk fibre: Straws of wheat, rice, barley, & more crops including Bamboo and Grass.

Animal fibers are collected from either brute. Categorised into a as punishment categories:

Fauna Hair (Wool or even even even Hairs): Pulp or wool is taken from either animate being or haired mamals. e.g. Wool (sheep wool), goat hair (Alpaca, Cashmere), horse hair, etc. Silk Fibre: Pulp is collected from either dried spittle of bugs or even insects when you took preparing cocoons. e.g. Silk from either silk worms Avian Fibre: Pulp from either Birds. e.g. Feather and feather fiber.

Mineral fibers are naturally occurring pulp or even slightly modified pulp procured from either minerals. These may be categorized into a as a result categories:

Asbestos fiber: The just naturally occuring mineral pulp. Varieties come: Serpentine (Chrysotile) and Amphiboles (Amosite, Crocidolite, Tremolite, Actinolite, and Anthophyllite). Ceramic fibres: Glass fibres (Glasswool and Quartz), Aluminum oxide, Silicon carbide, and Boron carbide Metal fibres: Aluminum Fibres
